Programs

Learn how technology works by building it.

STEMTEQ is developing hands-on electronics learning experiences that help learners build, test, troubleshoot, and create with real components.

Our initial focus is learners in grades 6–8, with guidance designed to support parents, homeschool families, and educators.

A twelve-session electronics foundation

The course-in-a-kit under development connects component recognition, circuit building, measurement, troubleshooting, and microcontroller-based projects. Each experience builds toward greater independence and creative problem-solving.

Development status: The program is in development. Physical builds and instructional materials are being prepared for validation before commercial release. Enrollment, pricing, and release dates are not yet announced.

Study · Explore · Build

Study how things work

Identify components, connect new ideas to familiar experiences, and make predictions before testing them.

Explore through evidence

Observe what happens, take measurements, compare results, and investigate why a circuit behaves as it does.

Build and improve

Assemble working systems, troubleshoot problems, and use what you learn to modify a design or create something of your own.

Start with the components

The first session, Meet the Components, introduces the parts learners will handle and use. Learners practice making predictions, observing evidence, and identifying possible explanations—including investigating a reversed LED.

Support for the adults learning alongside them

The program is being designed with clear instructions, adult-friendly guidance, and flexible pacing. Prior technical experience should not be a prerequisite for helping a learner ask questions, compare evidence, and work through a problem.

Room to experiment

Following instructions is a starting point. STEMTEQ aims to help learners make testable guesses, try alternatives, combine ideas, and explain their design decisions.

Built carefully before release

Materials and physical builds must be reviewed and tested before release. Read about our quality and transparency approach and responsible design principles.
